Brief on CRCICA Caseload and Recent Activities in Africa

During the Second Half of 2019

On 21 November 2019, the total number of cases filed before the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (“CRCICA”) reached 1365 cases, with 26 new cases filed since July 2019.

The cases related to various sectors, including Construction, Real Estate Development, Tourism, International Sale of Goods, Hotel Management, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications and Media & Entertainment.

 

Parties involved in these cases came from Egypt, India, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia and the UK; while appointed arbitrators came from Bahrain, Canada, Egypt, France, the UK and the USA. Read full report
