AfAA and AIIL sign MoU on Organising Training Workships for African Lawyers 9 September 2021 The African Arbitration Association (AfAA) and the African Institute of International Law (AIIL) on Wednesday, 8 September 2021, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly organise workshops to train African lawyers on international investment law and arbitration, negotiation, drafting of investment agreements and participation in dispute settlement procedures relating to these fields. The workshops will hold in October and November 2021 and in January 2022 and will be the first in a series planned to be carried out under the terms of the MoU by the parties. AfAA is delighted to be partnering with AIIL on these workshops and looks forward to working with AIIL to improve the capacity of African lawyers in the areas of international investment law and arbitration. |
