CRCICA’s Regional and International ContributionsBy: Shireen Fathy 23 March 2023 The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (HK) hosted a welcomed conference on the subject of “Arbitration in Africa – Opportunities and Risks for German Companies”, where the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) had the pleasure to be invited, and where Dr Ismail Selim, Director, introduced the Centre’s role and services together with holding discussions revolving around possible cooperation with arbitration institutions in Africa, and the establishment of a cooperative network together with HK, highlighting the role that such initiatives, and the participation and representation of African institutions, can play in contributing to enhancing Africa-based practice and resolution of international disputes involving European-based and originating actors.
